THE JACK WOOD
garage rock, blues rock, punk, psych
The Jack Wood, known for its wild and unpredictable live performances, continues in the footsteps of Iggy Pop and The Stooges, and is so convincing that you'll never believe that this fierce garage rock band comes from Tomsk, a city in the depths of vast Siberia. You might have heard the powerful voice of The Jack Wood's fragile front singer Sasha in the hit TV series House of Cards, singing Don't Cry Genocide by art punk project Pussy Riot. The Jack Wood, inspired by classic blues, rock, and protopunk, has collaborated with such rock heroes, as Richard Hell, Lenny Kaye, Mark Ribot, Nick Zinner, Thurston Moore, and Le Tigre. They represented Russia at Glastonbury Festival in 2015, performed several European tours, and recorded three full-fledged albums that were highly acclaimed by both, the critics and the audiences.
