KITO JEMPERE BAND
electronic, house, indie dance
Kito Jempere is the innovative and evolving project of Kirill Sergeev, one of Russia's most remarkable house music producers and DJs. Since starting up in 2013 as a solo studio experiment with light harmonies and dance rhythms, Kito Jempere, which to date has had over 20 releases on various international labels, has transformed into a fully developed live supergroup which unites notable Russian musicians and has performed at all the major Russian music festivals. The album Sea Monster was released in 2017 on the Berlin Hell Yeah label, presenting the band replete with psychedelic electronic experiments, romantic pop ballads and riveting anthems energised with the house beat. Applauded internationally by DJs, Sea Monster has been aired on BBC 1, NTS Radio, London, and DJ Tim Sweeney's massively popular New York City radio show Beats In Space. Sergeev's next experiment evolved the band further with its successful transformation into a full orchestra: at the end of 2017, Kito Jempere performed awe-inspiring concerts in both Moscow and St. Petersburg, a symphonic orchestra joined by the famous Finnish electronic musician Jimmy Tenor, a friend and fan of the group.
